Joe,

Hard to tell by your photo (from other post), but I'm guessing that is a factory formed opening. Later model Glasspars were actually produced by Larsen Boats, and possible they changed the design.

After you sprayed it down, did all the water come out of your transom thru-hull drain?

You may have to tilt your boat bow/trailer to get all of the water out of there. Parking on a steep incline works also, but I leave my truck connected to the trailer then.

My 1961 del Mar had a small round hole with a plastic plug. I believe it was from the factory. It was up forward in the bunk area.

Michael,

Our 1965 Sedan has a small inspection port (maybe 2" diameter) in the cabin floor area. Also with plastic plug. I wonder if these were factory installed??

George,
Thank you for taking the time to show me those pics.
I went ahead and power washed the floor, and I ran water up into that hole that you circled. Took a minute, but it did eventually come out of the drain hole in the transom.
So I am very happy about that, now I know that any water that gets up there will eventually end up at the drain.

Thanks
